Bruno Besa: Ruby to garnet. Youthful, clean nose, fruit-driven, with red apples, red cherries, and pomegranate. Medium body, balanced and youthful, with rich, sweet fruit and a long, lively finish. Needs time to develop a more classic earthy complexity yet extremely well made. 95
Andrew Jefford: Clear and bright but all red, no tile. Sweet, warm, delicate soft-breathed fruit scents: teasing, light, and graceful. Unshowy, but a very successful aromatic profile here. Vivid, concentrated, zesty yet sweet-edged, with a more energetic, engaged palate than the aromatic profile had sketched out. Perhaps a little elemental in the final analysis, vitiating drinkability; the acidity is very insistent. 86
Michael Palij: Heady nose of pure red and black fruit, including red and black cherry, cranberry, damson, plum, black pepper, rose, licorice, and cinnamon. On the palate, it’s perfectly balanced, with the ripe, fine tannins proving the scaffolding necessary for the fruit to develop further complexity. The acidity is also perfectly poised and ready to do battle with time. A wonderfully discreet and finely judged example. 97
