Bruno Besa: Garnet to pink. Clean, ripe, with uptone red fruit, pomegranate, red apples, chalk, and dried and fresh herbs. Medium to full body, with sweet red and black fruit, and a very long, mineral finish. Inviting and rich yet fragrant and clean. 94

Andrew Jefford: Dark, deep red with some black ... just off opaque. Lovely, fruited fragrance here, mellow and full, layered and graceful. Very pretty scents. Just easing into full articulacy and you sense there is much here to give. Fresh, vivid, graceful. Less amply fruited than many of its La Morra peers, but concentrated nonetheless, with a succulent ripeness typical of this commune in this year. Sound, generous, and satisfying. 89

Michael Palij: Complex aromas comprising strawberry, red plum, red cherry, black plum, earth, and balsamic notes, including eucalyptus, bay, and clove. The palate is chiseled, with fine tannins and lively acidity providing structural balance to the finely etched fruit. Excellent length. 94
