Bruno Besa: Garnet to tawny. A slightly closed yet very clean and inviting red-fruit nose, with an inviting character and intense mineral and herbal transparency. Medium body, balanced and clean, with sweet red fruit and a long, mineral finish. 93
Andrew Jefford: Deep clear red-black. Ample soft tarry warmth: classic and attractive. Pristine cleanliness and spotless definition... though not hugely detailed. Nonetheless when you smell this you know you have come home and are in good hands. Warm, generous, full, artless but hugely enjoyable. Absolutely no need to wait—all the pleasure of good Barolo is here, now. 88
Michael Palij: A fine nose of red cherry, plum, damson, and currant leads to a mouthful of stone fruit and hedgerow with fine tannins and firm acidity. Tannins and acidity stand astride the ripe red fruit, creating a pleasing mouthful with structure and fruit walking arm-in-arm. On the finish, it lacks the drive and weight of the best examples but there is much to like here. 92
