Essi Avellan: Pale color. Soft, still youthful nose of pear and apple fruit showing a toasty delicacy. Restrained cool fruitiness. Pleasant, round, and plush palate, with pristine fruit until the balanced ending. Not hugely complex but correct and appealing. 91
Simon Field: Modest color, the chromatic scope somewhat curtailed; the palate thereafter is a little pinched; late-season orchard fruit, a touch of brine/salinity, and a finish which leads one into a labyrinth of unfulfillment. 86
Anthony Rose: Pale gold in color, there’s some attractive berry sweetness in the aroma and a light beeswax and toasty note, followed by a taste that reprises the berry and toast elements, initially setting out with a nice raspberryish sweetness, then tapering through a fine-textured mousse toward more savory, almost umami-like characters on the finish, which is satisfyingly dry. 92
