BUY THE WINE

Essi Avellan | Pale shiny lemon color. Stylish restraint to the ripe fruity nose. Vanilla, smoke, lemon, and white flowers. Ample body but also steely acid line. Perky bubbles and juicy finish. | 92

Simon Field | Pale, a touch wan even, then precise bulles, focused in their rigor. The nose is attractive and compelling: citric fruit, hints of sourdough and mirabelle plum; behind that, hawthorn and acacia. The palate beguiles with its discipline of grip, the lemongrass, soft spice, and dried- apricot core, but there is firm youthful acidity and a tightly wrought finish. | 92

Anthony Rose | Pale gold. This is rich in aroma, with sweetly fragrant notes of vanilla and almond, a praliney nuttiness from autolysis, and energetic, persistent mousse that’s expansive when it hits the tongue, spreading flavors around the mouth. The creamy textured mousse dissolves in tongue-coating, ripe, peachy ripe fruit flavors, tapering to a winey, savory grip and underpinned by salty acidity on the finish. Plenty of aging potential here. | 97
