BUY THE WINE

Essi Avellan | Attractive toast-lined nose, with ample fruity appeal. Yellow apple, quince, lemon confit, and orange blossom. Smooth, lacey palate, with appropriate freshness and suitably seamless dosage. Correct and compact, with a degree of elegance. | 93

Simon Field | Elegant, nacreous gold, pale at the rim, viscous, elegant, composed. The nose relates fig, almond, and even pistachio; then orchard fruit, lemongrass, and soft plum. The inherent complexity is redoubled on the palate, grip and poise comfortable bedfellows. A nice taper on the finish reaffirms the quality. | 92

Anthony Rose | Pale gold in color. This is a tad shy in aroma as yet, albeit with a nice note of appley sweetness. It’s invigoratingly, crisply refreshing in the mouth, still youthfully tight and unwound, needing time for the flavors to unfurl. The promise of good things to come is there if, with patience, you can allow that salty, bright fruitiness eventually to come through. | 94
