Michael Schuster | Smells of ripe cassis and redcurrant Cabernet; beautifully balanced wine of great poise and harmony, if not great weight or depth; a gentle freshness of acidity, a limited and very fine-textured tannin, fine length to taste and a marked minerally persistence on the finish. A lovely lighter-style Latour, not weak in any way, just in a lighter register. Not the usual power, of course, but so well conceived, with all the elements there. 2018–30+. | 17.5
