BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster | Quite dense, finely fruity, and finely mineral to smell; medium-full, gently concentrated wine, with a subtle, absolutely unobtrusive acidity and a superfine tannin texture. Fresh initially, but then long and sweetly ripe to taste, racy, tenacious and with lovely gently fruited, fragrant length. Effortless, easy, refined, but absolutely complete. It is for wines like this—transparent, subtle, ripe, fragrant—that the comparison with red Burgundy makes sense this year. Lovely wine. 2018–30. | 18
