There is real aromatic energy here, though; give the wine a chance to settle down. Very dense, full, pounded, and extractive on the palate, this is an ambitious and purposeful 2018, with plenty of thrust and push. All that holds it back from a higher score is the rather unredeemed sweetness of its vintage. | 92
