Tim Atkin | Modern, slightly closed nose, with a hint of good reduction. Very much a genérico style, with one eye on the future. Lots of primary fruit, with good concentration, bramble, tangerine, red-cherry flavors, and sinewy tannins. This still needs time. | 90
Simon Field | Full ruby robe, bright and confident of hue. The nose is a little reticent, at least to start with, but with time the bosky, dusty notes dissipate gradually, and the palate has a stone-fruit gravitas, a subtle linearity, which repays a second taste. This is still quite tight and youthful, primary and nascent, the clasp of oak hitherto domineering. | 88
Andrew Jefford | Deep though translucent purple-red. Warm, sweet, almost doughy plum fruits on the nose. On the palate, by contrast, the sweetness is nowhere evident. The appeal of this simple wine is its fresh, almost shocking sourness and bite. | 82
