BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Deep, dark black-red in appearance; no longer opaque. Sweet yet lightly grassy; cherry fruits. Tart and brisk, though deep. But all the resonance you hope for is missing, alas. It is concentrated and deep, though the style is hard to love. | 85

Michael Schuster | Dense and closed for the moment; full, brisk, firm in tannin. Ripely fruited, of modest complexity, within a chewy texture. This will really need a robust, solid platter as partner. It will doubtless mellow with age, but the straightforward fruit core really wants to be enjoyed young. Just seems a bit at odds with itself. Now to 2027+. | 86
