Andrew Jefford | Dark, dense black-red, just off opaque. Almost cherry-like fruits, with scents of orange and petitgrain, too: unusual, refined and attractive. Forthcoming; marked aromatic engagement here, though pith and leaf more than fruit. Fresh and almost sweet in style; engaging and unusual, though with less fruit concentration than you can find up on the best gravel banks farther north. Drinkable and engaging already, however. | 88
Michael Schuster | Just a hint of herbaceousness on the nose; medium-full, fresh to crisp in acidity, light in tannin. Gently juicy ripe red fruit to taste, of modest scope, but no meanness, and good light length. A most pleasing l’Esprit in its slightly cooler year style. Now to 2027+. | 88
