Michel Bettane: Good color, nice oaky nose, no deviation; ripe fruit for the vintage, medium body, elegant tannins. Nice delicate Chevalier—very Léognan, but not great. 16

Thierry Desseauve: Dark color, cedar and berry flavors, very pleasant body with fine and ripe tannins, freshness and depth. The cigar notes on the finish are outstanding. No austerity, no brutality, just finesse and freshness. 17

Michael Schuster: Touch of early bouquet—Merlot sweetness; nicely balanced, elegant, supple middleweight; fine, gently gravelly Graves flavor, a little dry in its texture still from the new wood; freshly sweet, long and fine, quite subtle and complex, and with excellent aromatic persistence, too. Very nice. Drink 2015–26+. 16.5
