Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red, and opaque at the wine’s core. Quite a lot of oak influence at this point, with plump fruit behind. Needs time to settle. A touch of TCA in the first bottle so we will look at a second—which is better, though unfocused. A lively, energetic mouthful of blackcurrant and damson fruits; fair concentration, though little wealth or width. | 87
Michael Schuster | Lightly earthy, plummy Merlot fruit nose; light to medium-full, fresh, supple-textured wine with very little tannin; ripe red-fruit flavor, easy, fleshy, flowing wine, of some depth, moderate complexity, and light aromatic length. Nice Margaux accessible already. Now to 2030+. | 89
