Michael Schuster: A gentle but clear, ripe, blackcurrant/blackberry fruit nose, subtly minerally; fresh, elegant, refined, and firmly tannic wine; a fine purity of fresh, spicy, ripe Cabernet Sauvignon fruit, long and complex, in a particularly graceful style, and with the particularly aromatic length of finish that marks the best wines of the year. Great purity and finesse, within a slight austerity of texture. Very fine Forts de Latour; likely to need a good decade in bottle. 2020–30+. 16.5/17
