Bruno Besa | Deep ruby to pink. Mature, clean, layered, complex nose, with black and red fruit, black cherries, cloves, and dried herbs. Full-bodied, with sweet fruit and super-refined tannins, balanced by noble acidity and a long, mineral finish. | 93
Andrew Jefford | Deep black-red, though just off opaque. Warm, savory, enticing if a little rough-and- ready; ample rough-cut plum charm here. Perhaps this will evolve somewhat in the years ahead. This is a very concentrated, intense, flamboyantly fruity wine at this stage, with huge depth of fruit and great resonant plum power. I’m held back a little by the fact that it is not more than fruity as yet, but that may come with time. A tsunami of plum—and of course delicious as such. | 91
Anthony Rose | Youthful, deep, dark ruby hue; the nose is as yet elemental, brooding, biding its time, with a hint of spicy oak sweetness. Lovely, dense, weighty, pure fruit quality, richness rather than sweetness, spice aplenty in there, and a fine framework of sinewy tannins combining with succulent freshness of acidity for a wine of great complexity and balance. | 93
