Nicolas Belfrage | Attractive mid-depth hue. Cherry and red fruits on the nose. Ripe, nicely rounded, balanced wine of elegance rather than power. A touch bitter on the finish, with good length. Should age reasonably well, though drinking now. Attractive mid-depth hue. | 90
Bruno Besa | Ruby to garnet. Youthful red and black fruit, with cherries, plums, bell peppers, and crushed stones. Full body, with massive tannins yet a clean, ripe finish. Time will tell, but at present it is quite unbalanced on the palate. | 90
Andrew Jefford | Clear, deep black-red. Sweet, warm, refined, well-organized, and disposed aromas, though shy. However, in this vintage one is very grateful for an absence of off-notes or false notes, of strain and effort, and none of that is apparent here. Graceful and deft on the palate, with real class to the fruit flavors, subtle but almost thrusting tannins, poise and drive. It still has the cool briskness of the vintage, but this is unquestionably one of the best wines on the table, and almost grippy; lovely fresh Brunello for serving cool and drinking young. | 91
