Bruno Besa | Garnet to pink. Slightly closed nose, with some oak and clean red-fruit character. Leather and tobacco, with animal, earthy undertones. Compact, full body and big tannins on the palate, yet balanced with mature red and black fruit. Long and clean. It needs few years, but great potential. | 94
Andrew Jefford | Clear scarlet-red. Sweet, warm, supple, and leathery: lifted, elegant, and refined. Pure, singing plum fruits, with suede tannins: a tenor Brunello, but very dapper and elegant and concentrated, too. Stylish and exciting. | 91
Anthony Rose | Mid-ruby, already showing some evolution; still a tad shy on the nose, though, with a pleasant cherry-fruit quality. Quite extracted on the mid-palate, with some rather rustic tannins starting to poke through, so the fruit is a tad short, leaving the impression of a traditional style that certainly needs food to help tame those tannins. | 89
