BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Garnet to pink. Ripe, slightly medicinal, herbal nose, with prunes and black cherries and hints of damp soil. Medium- to full-bodied, with lively acidity and clean red fruit, but a rather simple finish. | 88

Andrew Jefford | Deep black-red. Lively fruits with a fresh tea-leaf note and some floral intrigue, too: pretty, vivacious, attractive scents. Rich, mouth-filling, chic, and energetic, withatextural depth that almost comes as a surprise after the aromatic prettiness and charm. Structured, full, and long, with that energy lasting all the way through the clean, mouth-rousing finish. | 91

Anthony Rose | Good depth of color and aromatic complexity, with some underlying herby notes; nice purity of Sangiovese cherryish fruit, and deceptively light because while not especially concentrated, it does have good flavor impact and authentic Sangio notes, with subthreshold oak and a notable, almost mineral, spine of acidity. | 92
