BB | Garnet to tawny. Restrained and refined, classic Sangiovese, spicy, earthy, mineral nose with defined red and black fruits. Classic, weightless, defined, austere, small red fruits, crushed stones palate with long, layered finish,Drink Dates: 2028 - 2032. 94
AJ | Translucent blood-red; the lightest coloured in his first-flight cohort of six wines. Soft, open, relatively inarticulate; some discreet red-apple and redcurrant fruit with sappy, plant and leaf vegetal notes. All very attractive and nothing 'green' at all; poised ripeness. But quiet on the nose overall. Restrained and fresher in style than many; more slender, too. The aromatics correctly prefigure the palate: a woodland sylph within the vintage's horizon of possibilities. But it's a concentrated and refreshing wine with ample back-palate complexity.Drink Dates: 2026 - 2033. 90
MP | Very pale colour - almost Nebbiolo pale - with a shy nose showing notes of cold ash, camphor, liquorice and red cherry with a spicy core of cedar and cinnamon. The noticeably higher acidity on this wine works in its favour and suggests that further time in bottle may witness it coming out of its shell. The finish, however, lacks the power and length that are required to warrant giving it space in the cellar. If cool and racy is your thing then you'll like this.Drink Dates: 2026 - 2030. 91
