Simon Field | Mute color, then the rather unexpected aromatics of the pâtisserie; baked Alaska perhaps. Normal service resumed on the palate, which is dry and somewhat austere. Flinty and chalky, uncompromising, other than in the implicit requirement to be compromised by food. | 85
Andrew Jefford | Bright white. Haunting and very attractive aromas: vetiver, perfumed apple, a hint of cistus. A super nose here. The palate is very fresh and quivering with ripe Mediterranean acidity, and all of those perfumed notes are here once again. This is a slighter wine in terms of weight and structure than the Assyrtikos, the Xynisteris, and the Robola we have tried so far, but it’s very good, too, almost all of the action being wrapped up and hidden inside that vivacious acidity. Another hidden treasure! | 89
Demetri Walters | A lovely peachy nose leading to a juicy stone-fruited palate with a refreshing lemon seam. Good extract here. Fresh and expressive, but without particularly high acidity. Altogether a complex and interesting wine that keeps on reappearing on the palate. | 90
