Andrew Jefford: Clear, translucent red. Slightly savory aromatic profile rather than fruity, now, though there are quiet red fruits beneath. Vivid, fresh, and lively on the palate, with medium to good concentration, fine-grained and relatively understated tannins, supportive, elegant acidity, and ample lively grace. It’s understated overall, thus easy to underestimate, but any Pinot-lover will surely relish the freshness, vivacity, and charm on offer here. Delicious red Sancerre. | 91
Jasper Morris: A clear bright color in its prime. The bouquet is quite complex, moving on from primary fruit but still with plenty to offer. There is some oak evident on the palate but it combines nicely with the fruit sweetness, alpine strawberries, and some dark raspberry notes, I find this complex and attractive, approaching full maturity. An unforced approach to making red Sancerre, probably reaching its apogee. | 88
Catherine Petrie: Medium-pale ruby. There is a slight stewed edge to the red-fruit aroma that is combined with a minty aroma, so it is at once fresh and softly ripe. The palate has an appealing freshness and precision, and outperforms the nose. The finish is notably long, and I’m sorry not to score it more highly, but the wine feels a bit split at the moment. It could come together nicely in a short amount of time though. | 88
