BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Ruby to pink. Elegant, youthful, red-fruits nose, with aromatic herbs, hints of smoke and road tar, and intense violets undertones. | 92

Andrew Jefford | Pale, clear garnet-red. Sweet, stealthy aromas, yet with a herbal finesse, too. Ripe fruit, attractively fashioned; creamy. This is not a multi-dimensioned or subtle wine, but what it does, it does well: pure, ripe, lifted, mid-weight fruit, shaped by soft tannins and submissing acidity, providing a lot of drinking pleasure. With more aromatic finesse, this wine would score highly. | 88

Michael Palij | Complex and faintly mesmeric nose of blackcurrant, blueberry, plum, fig, hay, tar, and wet stone; this really has it all. In the mouth, this is even more impressive, with the tannins and alcohol duelling the fruit and acidity. A great Barolo with stunning texture and balance. | 96
