Andrew Jefford | Clear, dark black-red. Savory, fleshy, and warm aromas, though with a slightly earthy, wet- card note, too. We’ll check another bottle. Second bottle is better, brighter and cleaner, with slightly better wealth of allusion: rose petal, red fruits of a rather generalized order. On the palate, it is bright, engaging, vivid, and round-contoured, with agreeably softened tannins and tender acidity. Relatively generous in style, this would be a very enjoyable bottle in which to sample the easy-going charms of 2015. | 89

Michael Palij | Joyous, very pretty nose, with strawberry, red cherry, red plum, and an absence of the stewed character that can dominate many 2015s. This shows an excellent tension between the high acidity and intense strawberry, mineral, and cherry notes that define young Barolo. Lingering finish, with lots of fruit and perfect structure. | 96
