BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Ruby to garnet. Intense and complex, smoke and red-fruits nose, with minerals, red currants, and cherries, and tar and dried-herbs undertones. Medium to full body, with mature, pristine, black-cherry and prune palate. Long and clean. | 92

Andrew Jefford | Clear light garnet-red. This is so sweet and milk-chocolatey that it barely smells like Nebbiolo at all—but let’s see what the palate brings. This is solid, sound, rounded, chunky; approximate and rather rough-edged, but generous. That palate wealth, plus the attractively sweet aromas, add up to an attractive package. | 87

Michael Palij | This wine shows a dessert rose, rogue character, with wild fruit, hay, tangerine, pineapple, melon, and olive notes. On the palate, it has rich fruitcake notes of mulberry and cooked plum. The finish is disappointing, however, with much of the show stolen by the structure (tannins and acidity) rather than by the fruit. | 89
