Bruno Besa | Garnet to pink. Clean, intense, mineral, restrained, and complex red-fruits nose, with hints of tar and rose water. Balanced, medium to full-body palate, with layered, refined tannins and a long, cranberry and redcurrant finish. | 91
Andrew Jefford | Clear light black-red in color. Straightforward, roundedly fruity, though relatively soft-focus aromas; some menthol and eucalyptus. There’s an excellent core of flavor, so the vineyards seem propitious, but the cellar work has left the wine without a lot of lift or precision. But it will make very sound short to medium-term drinking. | 84
Michael Palij | Still closed on the nose, with subtle hints of stewed fruit, kirsch, griottes, licorice, and menthol. Obvious oak notes, including cedar and toast. The palate shows very grippy tannins that dominate the wine at this point. The fruit seems too demure to manage the enormous phenolic load on its shoulders. | 88
