Nicolas Belfrage: Some depth of color; correct rim. Beginnings of floral aromas: clean, subtle, not intense as yet, but not without promise. Could do with sharper acidity for laying down, but plenty of structure, plenty of fruit. Good if not currently inspired - 15.5

Stephen Brook: Very deep plum red. Subdued nose, plums, and a whiff of red meat. Mediumbodied, a bit slack and flat. Only moderately concentrated, and the acidity is mild, though the tannins are firm. Tarry dull finish, and it’s quite dry - 12

Jancis Robinson: Very dark blackish ruby. Rather tired on the nose, even a tad oxidized. Sweet and a bit dead on the palate. Powdery tannins. Can’t see how a second bottle is going to be better unless the cork has let in air. Brutal. Drink 2012–16 - 14
