BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage | Bright yellow, attractive like the sun. Muscatty hints on the nose: inviting. Citric, but orange rather than lemon. Lovely weight and concentration, plenty of fruit but balanced by acidity, which takes the wine right down the tongue into the long finish. A New-World style of wine, very intense. | 91

Bruno Besa | Straw-yellow. Open, mineral, yellow- and citrus-fruit character, with sage and almonds. Mature, fairly rich citrus-fruit palate, with a layered nutty character. Good length, clean finish. | 89

Andrew Jefford | Bright green-gold. Fresh, sappy, and teasing, with the typical mix of apple, pear, lemon, grape, and quince, all put through the whizzer and extruded onto a slice of pastry. And some Italian Alpine flowers, too—the best here always have that. A lovely nose. Lively, fresh palate, with lots of the primary fruits sketched out on the aroma, though less creaminess and velvet than some. Pretty wine. | 88
