Bruno Besa | Pale straw with evident CO2 bubbles. A slightly rustic, bruised apples nose. Lively yet fairly simple palate. | 85
Andrew Jefford | Pale gold. This has quite a different tonality to most of its Friulano peers: weightier, less fruity, some more lees thickening and floral creaminess. More “serious” and perhaps more ambitious. It’s good on the palate, too. You have the purity, incision, and lemon-cucumber drive of the varietal legacy combined withatextured, mealy, oatflake- backed richness to support that drive and lend it wealth and persistence. Excellent Friulano. | 89
Michael Palij | Lively nose, with obvious stone fruit including apple, peach, and nectarine. On the palate, the fruit falls away to reveal a bitter, herbaceous character of almond pith and tea. Lacks concentration and complexity. | 83
