Bruno Besa | Light ruby to pink. Clean, elegant, restrained yet a touch closed, youthful small red-fruits nose with lively floral character. Medium body, clean, balanced cranberries and red-cherry palate. Super-clean, inviting finish. Impeccably made Sangiovese expressing the lighter side of the vintage. | 92
Andrew Jefford | Bright, light, and clear garnet-red. Sweet, warm, soft, and enticing: lots of fine, perfumed allure here, and this is another wine that conveys untroubled ripeness, though a great vintage would probably have more aromatic dimensions and resonance to it. Light, graceful, and long-flavored, shapely and deft: a very finely crafted response to this difficult vintage. Refined plum fruits with satisfying Tuscan chiaroscuro. Beautiful sipping for the short to mid-term. | 92
Michael Palij | Classic Brunello 2014 on the nose: red fruit including tinned strawberries and rose hips and an overlay of cedar, cinnamon, and anise. Although the finish lacks concentration, the balance is excellent, with very fine tannins driving the length. There’s an appealing lactic note and Christmas-pudding character driving an impressive finish. | 93
