BUY THE WINE

Nicolas Belfrage: Correct color and nose. Correct acidity and tannin, good fruit of decadent veg-sour cherry style, definitely Sangiovese style, funky and vegetal, has concentration and length. Needs time. 16

Roy Richards Prune, but introspective – oak barrel, the palate is tart and authentic. Oh, so young. My guess is that this is will develop perfume and interest, perhaps not finesse. 16

Franco Ziliani: Brilliant ruby-violet color. Nose slightly overripe, with some bitter and dry notes. Not fresh, not elegant or appealing, with some oak in excess. The palate is almost tired, without freshness and energy, and it finishes on oaky, bitter, and astringent notes. No ageing potential; sounds like a 2003 wine. 12
