BUY THE WINE

Andrew Jefford | Dark black-red. Sweet and freshly curranty, with a sense of warmth and ease to it. Attractive and fully ripe. Sugar-dusted scents, indeed. On the palate, the wine is moderately concentrated with cool, lean fruits in which acidity takes the lead over tannin and structure. There is little mid-palate wealth, but fair concentration, and the overall effect is fresh, clean, and bracing, with attractive fruit purity and depth. A classic choice for the short to medium term. 2018–23. | 87

Michael Schuster | Fairly dumb on the nose, closed and minerally; medium-full, firm in acidity and tannin—quite structured; a rather chewy tannin round a good quality, delicate fruit; the fruit sings through, and there is nice length here, too, but overall this is a bit chunky at the moment. It will need plenty of time. 2026–35+. | 89
