Nicolas Belfrage | Medium deep, with oranging on rim. Alluringly seductive on the nose—scent—and sweet, ripe, juicy fruit on the palate, lovely acidity, good length and great drinkability. Ready now but will last. | 93
Bruno Besa | Garnet to pink. Open, crushed stones, wild strawberries, dried red flowers and hints of petrol on the nose, with Mediterranean herbs and cedar wood. Medium to full body, with lively cranberry and raspberry fruit and an elegant, long, weightless finish. Another stylish Brunello. | 94
Andrew Jefford | Clear, limpid red-black. Soft, dry cherry and a note of animal warmth, too. There’s some concentration and structure here, but it is a light- toned wine, and I don’t particularly warm to the animal note it has. Drinkable, and a little more serious than some of its peers. | 84
