Stephen Brook | Fragrant if slightly stalky nose, cranberries and raspberries. Lean, taut, with high acidity, this still has underlying fruit and displays poise and intensity rather than power. It’s concentrated, lightly tannic, and shows tension on the finish. I suspect this will take on more flesh with more bottle age. Good length. | 91
Andrew Jefford | Dark glowing red. Stealthy, soft, and delicate aromas of underbrush, mint, currant, and rose: almost understated, but complex and allusive. Vivid, deep, searching, long, deep, multilayered, and complex. A palate that combines amplitude with delicacy and finesse to an impressive extent. Lively acidity and searching tannins help lift the slender but tenacious fruits into prominence. It’s not the biggest or most multidimensioned wine in the tasting, but it’s elegant, fresh, and good. | 92
