BUY THE WINE

Bruno Besa | Lively ruby to pink rim. Youthful, a touch closed, restrained red-fruits nose, with floral character and hints of lavender and minerals. Medium body, with refined tannins. Super-clean, inviting finish. A wine that needs a bit of time to show its complex side. | 92

Andrew Jefford | Clear, light garnet with russet glints. Sweetly refined aromas, with a little dry-hay warmth, a hint of crisp bacon, and some dry mushroom broth. Fragrant, refined, and enticing. On the palate, this light and graceful wine echoes some of those aromatic allusions, arraying them in orderly style within a mid-weight palate of controled liveliness; the tannins are relatively fine-milled. Pure and long; excellent work here, and very Verduno. | 91

Michael Palij | Discreet wine and still very closed. Cranberry and red cherry, with an exotic sandalwood overlay, licorice, griottes, and signs of obvious development. The palate does little to convince, with astringent tannins making their presence felt and the fruit suddenly much less to the fore. | 86
