Bruno Besa | Garnet to tawny. A mature, vanilla sweet nose, with minerals, plums, and Mediterranean herbs. Medium body, slightly dried out black fruit, and moderate length. | 87
Stephen Brook | Fragrant but toasty nose, red fruits and roses. Soft and sumptuous, but with good concentration of fruit and ripe if chocolaty tannins. A luxurious rather than grippy style of Barolo, with mostly dark fruits and a high level of ripeness. This has flair and excitement, and although it’s decidedly forward, it still has some oak tannins on the finish. Moderate length. | 90
Andrew Jefford | Clear, deep, full red. Rich, ripe, sweet, and resonant: generous charms. Lush, soft, and open: easy to enjoy, with the emphasis on fruit (though of course, since this is Barolo, there is always a hinterland to that fruit...). A lovely wine, but you wouldn’t want to go looking for a lot of detail here. | 89
