BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook: Rich, powerful, minerally nose; limes, wax. Rich, creamy, full-bodied; has weight, but not too dense or extracted. There's opulence here, balanced by fresh citric acidity. Classy and very long. 17.5

Jancis Robinson: Perfumed, but far from opulent. Lots of minerality. Quite contained. Very dense - lots there - with good balance for future evolution, although you could enjoy it already. Very sprightly. Impressive! 16

Alexander Scott: A hint of herbaceousness here, as though some of the grapes were not quite as fully ripe as in most of the other Pfalz wines. Concentrated, intense and well made, but just not quite up with the finest. Considerable dry extract, especially noticeable on the finish. This will age well - eight to ten years, no problem. 16
