Andrew Jefford: Full gold. Very pretty rosebud scents with a violet backdrop: subtle floral enchantment, with the fruit (most unusually) in abeyance. That to start with. After a while in the glass, it loses that overridingly floral character and becomes a little more (Mus)catty. Vivid, forceful, aggressive, with a great lunge of thrusting fruit acidity that one would like to see sheathed with a little more fruited charm. But the fruit qualities are good: no bitter notes, and it subsides with some aromatic power rising from the throat vapours. 16.5
Simon Larkin : Appearance as before. Floral, apple-like accent to aromas. Palate shows some restraint as well as distinct minerality. Pleasing balance, certainly mineral, though lacks some true vibrance and nervosite. Green-fruit bite on the finish, and an equally pithy bitterness that is present in so many. 11
Alexander Scott: Similar aromatic character to the preceding wines - we must surely be in the same area. Less punch and more harmony on the palate, creamier texture, seemingly more effortless. This is very good wine, but I’d have liked a bit more personality. 15
