Simon Field: Pretty in colour, almost vinous in bouquet, charming and slightly lactic. All confirmed on the palate, which is ripe and attractive, with blueberry creamy fruit and a capacity for instant seduction but, in all probability, long-term disappointm ent. 15

Richard Mayson: Hot nose, touch of coffee bean, rather unusual withatouch of spice. Very sweet, ripe and fleshy, with some solid, spicy tannins building up in the mouth. Quite loose-knit but good. Complete. For the medium term. 15

Jancis Robinson: Not especially dark and a little smudgy in colour. Some green leaves on the nose. Big sweet hit on the palate, but a bit loose and slack. There are tannins there, and certainly acidity, but it’s not very harmonious. 13
