Simon Field: Deep crimson colouring, a pleasant perfumed nose, then a palate that is of medium concentration. Slightly ponderous and a touch hollow in the middle. Rather too soft, and lacking in firm acidity. 13.5

Richard Mayson: Very attractive, opulent if slightly jammy aromas. Lovely, sweet, plummy fruit, with broad yet solid tannins rising in the mouth. Finishes with a flourish. Vibrant and clean. Perhaps not a long-distance wine but good nonetheless. 16

Jancis Robinson: Slightly light crimson. A bit sweaty and indistinct on the nose. Candy sweet - even slightly sickly. The tannins and acidity kick in but very unintegrated at this stage. Aggressive acidity. A bit light and loose. Hollow. 12
