Gerard Basset: Medium-light yellow. Clean, of moderate intensity to start, slightly earthy with some appealing stony fruit character. Fresh with plenty of flavours on the mid-palate, medium-long but agreeable finish. 17.5

Marcel Orford-Williams: Good nose, full, ripe, quite fat but with a steely edge. Lovely fruit and nice balance. Tastes dry and clean. Very good. 17

Roy Richards: Fresh, citric nose, which follows through to the palate. The refreshingly gluggable quality one expects from a Sylvaner, but much greater depth and concentration. Some CO2. 16.5
