Oz Clarke: Good, rich, deep, not very distinct. It’s good, solid stuff; some spicy oak and fair acid. Not thrilling, but a decent – though uninspiring – drink. 15

Alex Hunt: Fairly muted nose; richer and more expressive on the palate. Nice length and well-managed tannins. No surprises here, perhaps, but effective and delicious. 15.5

Margaret Rand: Huge tannins, hugely extracted. At the moment the fruit is difficult to find, beyond a hint of prune and raisin. Not a lot of fun. The finish is okay, so it might turn out all right. 15
