BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook: Medium straw. Rich, broad peachy nose, quite honeyed. Rich, concentrated, weighty, quite powerful, massive fruit here and plenty of underlying minerality, though with a very slight bitterness – perhaps from botrytis? But it’s not obtrusive. Good length, tangy finish. 17

Simon Field: A nose with uncompromising steely austerity that either presages laudatory hyperbole or indifference. In this instance, there is a slightly coarse, almost burnt, syrupy (doctored?) note in the background that inclines one towards the less committed stance. 13

Roy Richards: Gentle, creamy, lilies. Very pure and understated, feminine. Not the concentration of some others, but a seductive drink. 17
