Stephen Brook: Rich nose, pears, but quite tangy. Medium-bodied, lush, distinctly sweet for Spatlese, attractive fruitiness, but lacks some vigour and finesse. Quite good length. 15
Andrew Jefford: Pale gold. Some free sulphur; moderately forthcoming grapefruit scents. Moderate to good intensity; vivid apple-grapefruit flavours with well-judged balance between acids and sugars; fair persistence and acids with a little more steel than many in this very hot vintage. 14.5
Jancis Robinson: Smells very full, ripe and opulent. Massive spread of rather oily, fat grapefruit syrup on the palate. Very forward on the front palate, though still a little astringent on the finish. Quite sweet. Drink 2007-13.15
