Stephen Brook: Broad, baked-apple nose, atypical for Mosel. Rich, plump, rather heavy for Mosel; pleasant fruitiness but no zest or finesse. Fairly short. 11.5
Andrew Jefford: Pale, faintest of golds. Lovely full Danish-pastry richness behind the enchanting nubile young fruits: pretty and beguiling, though not as arresting and forthcoming as [the Max Ferd. Richter Veldenzer Elisenberg Auslese*** Cask 60]. Lots of sweetness and fullness, though a slightly top-heavy mouthful without the verve and sap of the best. 14
Jancis Robinson: Very pale. Very tart. Very introvert.
Julian Jeffs Prum-style - though obviously his wines are still fast asleep in the cask. Masses of sulphur but no shortage of ambition. Quite difficult to access the sweetness at this point, but it is certainly there. Will get there because this is fine stuff, but needs lots and lots of patience. Drink 2012-25.16.5
