Stephen Brook: Lean nose, has minerality, but rather closed. Very sweet, hard to get past the sucrosity now; seems to have ample underlying acidity and the length is impressive, but it needs time for the complexity to emerge. Shows promise. 17.5
Andrew Jefford: Full green-gold. Lovely crunchy melange of cool springtime woodland and orchard scents. All wraiths and tendrils: classic Moselline enchantment. Great presence and charm here, with the sense of incipient aromatic power that betrays great wine in the early days. Vivid, mouth-filling, enchanting, with the roundness and balance of the perfect (idealised, platonic, Eden-like) apple: bravo! 18
Jancis Robinson: Quite savoury and pungent. A bit raw, but there is certainly considerably refreshing acidity here as well as the opulent spread of fruit aromas. Quite neat, with some real structure to keep it in check. Vibrant. Still chewy. Drink 2009-19. 16.5
