BUY THE WINE

Stephen Brook: Delicate nose, lime, hint of lemongrass. Lean, crisp, delicate acidity, well-balanced, invigorating sherbety aftertaste; fine potential here. Good length. 18

Andrew Jefford: Pale green-gold. Some bluebell and spring-bulb charm here, but once again lacks overall focus. Livelier than many, and one of the few Auslesen to taste at the bottom end of the Pradikat spectrum, this is a well-made wine with good concentration of lemon, orange, grape and apple fruits and some appealingly aerial dancing qualities. Good drinking and moreish, though neither exquisite nor sublime. 16

Jancis Robinson: Cool, hazelnut cream on the nose. Lively, round and easy. Not the finest, but very open and legible. Tingle throughout. Superior without being heart-stopping. But very nice acidity and sleekness. I may well have undermarked this. Drink 2008-18. 16
