BUY THE WINE

Michael Schuster: A very woody sample at the UGC tastings, where it was impossible to see the underlying wine. NS

Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve: Classy nose of spice but not yet fully formed or properly integrated with the oak. Full-bodied but not as mouth-filling as the Cote wines, and with somewhat disjointed tannins at this point. 17
