Nicolas Belfrage: Cedary notes on nose, not strong but mildly persistent. Red fruits, berries and cherries, come together well on the tongue to make a wine of good character and elegant restraint, with surprisingly good length but no outstanding features. 89
Bruno Besa: Lively garnet to pink, orange. Intense, clean, refined, slightly wild animal nose with bitter cherries, wild strawberries, fresh basil, and sage. Medium body, with fresh mint and cranberry-juice purity, and a long and mineral finish. A classy wine that maybe only lacks a bit of concentration. 94
Andrew Jefford: Clear, deep black-red. Warm, sweet, closegrained, and seamless scents of red fruit and stony earth: darkly attractive, if you like. Vivid, lively, exuberant, and principally fruity wine with lots of glowing warmth to it. The tannins are a little softer than for most of the peer group making this a rewardingly ripe near-term Brunello with plenty of exuberant charm. 87
