Nicolas Belfrage: Medium-deep but correct, some turn on rim. Vinous and warm, attractive cherry and plum fruit with herbal notes on nose. Quite penetrating morello cherry fruit on palate, fresh acidity and surprizingly smooth tannins. Acidity holds it together and keeps it bright. Drink from 2010. 16

Roy Richards Strong, extracted nose, not much fruit, this has a big tannic presence. Impenetrable at present. Difficult to read. 15

Franco Ziliani: Very intense dark color. The nose is very intense, mysterious, with leather, animal, meaty, ripe cherry and cassis notes. The palate is full, rich, of great intensity and length, with solid tannins, ripe, round and soft. Great structure and persistence and a very long, persistent, rich, savory finish of great satisfaction. Very good to drink now, but has a great ageing potential. A real Brunello that respects its identity. 17.5
